So the past couple of days since we've been back i can't stop thinking about how life functioned in Oregon. A lot of simple things baffled me:
~No paying for parking at the beach
~no pay for the telescope to see the lighthouse
~no paying to get into Ecola Park
~No paying to see the Monolith where Goonies was filmed (Tons of other states would have exploted that)
~no paying for covered parking in Seaside
~No paying to access the beach with the playground equipment
~Not having to tip the guy who washed my windows and filled my car with gas.
~Not having to pay for wireless internet at the condo
~no pay to get into Tillamook cheese factory
~no pay to use the only restroom in Garibaldi at the dock - or even the floating portajohn for that matter
Ok... so really the only thing that baffles me is the lack of payment EVERYwhere! Why was it in FL that you have to pay to breath? It doesn't seem fair to have both of these states belong to the US and one of them rob you blind. But it's the same in CA?! I don't know what to make of it. Oregon must be Utopia or a socialist community. Someone is giving back to the community to make it all happen but it sure wasn't me. hahah. Guess that means i freeloaded for week - sure felt good on the wallet.
