Manayunk

Over Memorial Day weekend i took a walk with Kat and we took pictures of my Manayunk. That's the borough we lived in while in Philly.  There's a good mix of new and old. ANd the old is OOOLLLD. Super awesome. This particular walk i just took pictures of the old. It was more exciting.
   The mailman told me that the building in the picture above use to be a library. It was in fact a working library until like 1970, but now someone lives there. They park their car in front of the door after riding up over the 3 front steps! Awesome.

Here's Kat modeling an old street. Can you see the carriage ruts by either sidewalk? Yeah, and if she leaned one way of the other she could touch the walls. It was a particular hot day and the people had their windows open. Kat didn't wanna seem like a creeper so she keep a respectful distance from the window. Haha.

Here was the church we passed every time we went on the train. It was at the fork in the road. i can't get enough of the red doors - it has like 3. I only got a picture of the smallest one. But trust me, really cool in person.

And you can't live in Manayunk - or Philly for that matter - and not explore the old cemeteries. They are EVERYWHERE! And in the words of Anne, "so deliciously creepy." In the early morning, when the fog sets in is the best. ;-)

And just because i think hydrangaes are the bestest flowers to walk by.
