Elfreth's Alley is the first residential street in America. 1703 is what the sign said. Cute, isn't it? I guess if you come during tourist hours (11am- 6pm) they have volunteers in costumes depicting the era. And they let you go inside. But sadly that's nap time so we just go in the "wee" hours of the morning (9am).
Betsey Ross's house. Can you believe they want you to pay $6 a person to tour the inside? Forget it. Hahah - i sound so cheap, but when the kids don't really care for the history why pay the money?
When we head into Old City there's a statue that greets us at the top of the stairs from the subway. That's how Avry recognizes we're near the Liberty Bell. We call it "Avry's Statue".

Ha ha! You're not missing much at Betsy Ross and the stairs are a little treacherous anyways. We paid but only because we got a military discount!
